To celebrate Mental Health Awareness week…
we invite you to join us, to come together, to hold space for each other and to immerse yourself in a very special evening of Yin Yoga with Liz Joy Hardie, a Psychology Workshop with Dr. Stephanie Minchin and a soothing Gong Bath with Rachael Welford.
MoreYoga Lock Ins create a space to enrich your Mind, Body & Spirit whilst fundraising for ChooseLove. As part of the MoreMind project, every Lock In is inspired by our ethos that invites you to approach your health holistically by combining Yoga, Psychology and Sound Healing.
What to expect…
YIN YOGA ~ with Liz Joy Hardie
We will open the evening with a nurturing Yin Yoga practice combining breathwork, mindfulness and deep releasing postures to relax the body and quiet the mind, helping us ground into the space for the evening. This practice is suitable for everyone & all levels are welcome.
PSYCHOLOGY ~ with Dr Stephanie Minchin
Integrating yoga philosophy and models of western psychology, you will be guided through discussion and an individual written mind-mapping exercise supporting silent self-reflexivity and contemplation.
GONG MEDITATION ~ with Rachael Welford
Imagine a deep sense of calm washing over you, quieting the chatter in your mind and melting away tension in your body. That’s the power of gong! Rachael uses sounds that resonate throughout your body helping you to naturally switch into “rest and digest” mode, a peaceful state where you can truly unwind and connect with yourself on a deeper level.
GOOD KARMA
Good Karma is also included in each ticket purchase as 25% of all profits will go to Yoga Stops Traffick.
Yoga Stops Traffick is organised and run by a small UK charity called Adventure Ashram, which supports local grassroots organisations in India, focusing on anti-trafficking and accessible education & healthcare. The profits raised from the Yoga Stops Traffick events are channeled to help prevent human trafficking in India, and to rescue and rehabilitate its victims.
